Pontefract Museum

Pontefract Art Club was established in 1978 by local artist, Alan Bracken. The amateur art group meets weekly to share ideas and foster interest in art within the local community. All abilities and levels of experience are welcome (18+). 

Members produce high-quality work in a range of styles. They work in different media, from oils and acrylic, to watercolours and pastels. Pontefract Museum is proud to exhibit a fantastic selection of their latest work. Join us this autumn to celebrate local artistic talent.

Enjoy captivating portraits, stunning still life and all walks of wildlife. Admire a range of atmospheric landscapes, from dawn to dusk, in rain and shine. Look out for beloved local landmarks, Yorkshire countryside and seaside favourites, or escape to distant shores.
