Friday 24 April, 10:30am to 12pm
Friday 24 April, 1:30pm to 3pm
This workshop is for home educated children aged 5+ and their families.
The Ancient Romans lived in Britain between 1600 and 2000 years ago. They built all sorts of buildings. These ranged from simple wooden workshops to high status stone and tile structures.
In this workshop, we will:
examine real Roman architectural remains
consider what objects and materials reveal about the buildings they were part of and the people who made them
have a go at designing mosaic patterns inspired by ancient Roman examples
